A successful art director has the know-how to develop the client’s visual brand and implement their objectives.

In charge of the look and feel of campaigns, web design, social media content and any promotional material (video, photography or 360VR). The Art director has their hand in managing all aspects of a project, from the beginning concepts, design elements and copy to timelines and team collaboration.

This role requires stellar leadership skills, too. When working with team members – possibly across departments – to complete a marketing and advertising initiative, the art director needs to draw on communication and collaboration skills to best strategize, manage and execute the visual stylings of a winning marketing or advertising campaign.

Responsibilities
  1. Communicating with clients about their requests and preferences.
  2. Create Mood boards & Style dishes for photoshoots, ensuring they look mouthwatering and camera-ready.
  3. Set Shooting Schedules & Collaborate with all stakeholders involved with the project from both internal and external teams.
  4. Shaping and implementing the creative direction of the work produced for a given client. 
  5. Responsible for ensuring that the work produced is in line with the client’s strategy and is appropriate to its brand.
  6. Supervise a team of graphic designers, photographers, illustrators, web design, production artists social media, content creator, media buying and creative freelancers.
  7. Collaborates with team members to ensure that quality produced is up to the company’s standards.
  8. Should be the point of contact in all interactions with a client where creative work is involved with the support of the Account manager.
  9. Maintaining detailed knowledge of the company's products or services.
  10. Keeping abreast of what competitors are doing.
  11. Liaising with senior management.
  12. Evaluating projects in terms of quality, timeliness and required team work.
  13. Researching new tools to develop and enhance products.
  14. Managing projects and working within a budget.
  15. Update project management tool for all tasks.
  16. Assisting with other duties and responsibilities as required.

Education:

Degree in film, photography or related field
